How It Works?
After a wound heals, a scar can form. Using silicone gel on the healed skin helps prevent pain, thickening, redness, and itching.
The scar will heal better and faster with the gel. It works best if used soon after the wound closes.
Silicone gel helps the scar heal by protecting the skin and keeping it moist, which stops extra scar tissue from forming.
Only use on healed skin without stitches or scabs.
Cover the scar and 2 cm around it with the gel.
Clean and dry the area before applying.
Use a small amount to form a thin layer over the skin.
Apply in a smooth motion without rubbing it in.
Apply three times a day, or more often if there’s a lot of friction.
Reapply after exercise, showering, etc.
For best results, use the gel during the day and silicone patches at night
BAPSCARCARE gel can be used on old and new scars for:
Treating and preventing abnormal scars (hypertrophic and keloid)
Treating burn scars
Treating surgical scars
Addressing persistent issues caused by scars (redness, pulling, itching, restricted joint movement, discomfort, and cosmetic concerns)
It takes at least 3-6 months for a scar to normalise.
Use BAPSCARCARE gel as long as the scar is elevated, red or causing any symptoms.
Consult your therapist/doctor about the duration of therapy.
When used correctly, a tube is sufficient for treatment lasting a few weeks.
The duration of use depends on the size of the scar to be treated.
In the case of long-term therapy, several packs may therefore be required.
The expiry date is stated on the packaging.
Can be kept for a maximum of 6 months after opening.
Store at room temperature or at least not at temperatures higher than 25ºC.
